Out-of-school experiences expand and integrate PreK-12 and post-secondary classroom learning with free-choice STEM experiences that are fun, inspiring, and personally meaningful. They are especially effective at closing the achievement gap for underserved and underrepresented youth. Out-of-school experiences can occur before school, during lunchtime, after school, or on weekends, school holidays, and summer break.
