While there is strong agreement that science, technology, engineering, and math supports student success and powers our economy, a recent poll found that 3 out of 5 Washington voters had never heard the acronym STEM.

Career Connect Washington

Funding Opportunity

A Career Connect Washington Request for Proposals is now available. This RFP was developed by the Washington State Employment Security Department in partnership with Washington STEM, the Office of the Governor, the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction, the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries, Washington State University Extension, and the Washington State Workforce Training and Education Coordinating Board, is now available(remove highlighted words).

Career Connect Washington intends to reach 15,000 youth with this first round of funding, 100,000 youth within five years, and continue growing until it reaches all youth, funded by public and private sector contributions working together. This is the first round of investments and will make available two public funding streams to expand Career Connected Learning opportunities including registered apprenticeships for youth and adults in regions across Washington.
