    In Sept. 2011, Washington STEM supported Vashon Island School District in launching the Real Time Math Project, which had middle school students learn from real-world math challenges derived from the construction of their new high school, alongside STEM professionals from architects and engineers to land surveyors and more. This second investment will expand the Real Time Math Project into the district’s elementary and high schools. In addition, it will engage female STEM professionals to support the development of a strong STEM identity for girls.
