At Washington STEM, we take an entrepreneurial approach to advancing STEM education. In the two years since our launch, we have laid a rich foundation across Washington of nearly $5 million in investments supporting breakthrough ideas and promising practices in STEM education.
Moving ahead, our investments continue through STEM Networks supporting communities as they accelerate student success and fuel economic development. We’re also excited to launch STEM-PD, a new R+D initiative to reimagine professional development for teachers. In addition, we’ve brought increased energy to our advocacy work to encourage better policies that will ensure lasting change.
Give now through our online portal. If you want to learn more about partnerships and other giving opportunities, connect with Gillia Lambert.
We are excited to share our 2011-2012 Annual Report tracking progress of work since our launch.
STEM skills are critical no matter the path a student pursues. Woodland Park's ZooCrew program is leveraging all available assets, including zoo employees, to show students the importance of STEM today.
